Terms of Service

Welcome to Quti, a mobile app designed to help you make memories by planning and sharing quality time with friends. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quti app (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and form a legally binding agreement between you and Quti Ltd.

By accessing or using Quti, you confirm that you are 13 years or older and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who Can Use Quti

To use Quti, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old.

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

  • Reside in the United Kingdom or Ireland.

If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

 

2. Data Protection & GDPR

We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Ireland's Data Protection Acts. When using Quti:

  • You consent to the collection and processing of your personal data, such as name, contact details, and calendar data.

  • You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or adjusting permissions within the app.

3. User Content & Behaviour

You are solely responsible for any content you create, share, or invite others to engage with via the app—including but not limited to:

  • Events

  • Invites

  • Shared links

  • Images or descriptions

  • Event locations.

  • Inviting Others

By using Quti to invite others to events or to join the app, you confirm that you have the right to share their contact details for this purpose and that doing so does not violate any applicable laws or obligations.

You acknowledge that Quti may send messages to those contacts on your behalf to facilitate event participation or app usage.

You agree not to misuse this feature for unsolicited marketing, spam, or harassment.

We do not proactively moderate or verify event details, user-generated invites, or external links.

Disclaimer: Quti is not responsible for any harm, offense, or loss arising from events organised through the app or links shared within it. Users should exercise discretion and take necessary precautions when attending in-person events or clicking on shared content.

4. Messaging & Invitations 

Messages to You

By using Quti, you agree that we may send you messages related to your use of the app via in-app notifications, SMS, or other communication methods you have enabled related to your use of the app, including:

  • Event invitations and updates.

  • RSVPs and responses.

  • Account, safety, or service notifications.

You can manage notification preferences within the app.

Inviting Others

Quti allows you to invite others to events or to join the app using contact details such as phone numbers.

By using this feature, you confirm that:

  • You have obtained any necessary consent from the recipient where required under applicable laws.

  • The person would reasonably expect to receive an invitation from you

  • You will not use Quti to send unsolicited, excessive, or unwanted messages

Quti sends these messages on your behalf to facilitate social planning.

Safeguards

To protect users and recipients:

  • We may limit the number or frequency of messages sent

  • Messages will clearly identify the sender

  • Recipients will have the ability to opt out of further messages

Misuse of this feature may result in account restriction or suspension.

5. Event Sharing & External Links

Quti may include links shared by users in event descriptions

We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party sites, services, or experiences. Use them at your own risk. Any transactions made via third-party links are solely between you and the external provider.

6. App Features & Limitations

Quti offers social planning tools, including:

  • Visual calendars

  • Polls and RSVPs

  • Friend availability syncing

We aim to provide a seamless experience, but we do not guarantee:

  • That the app will be error-free or uninterrupted

  • The accuracy or availability of events and plans

  • Compatibility with all devices or operating systems

7. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if:

  • You breach these Terms

  • You misuse the app

  • You engage in illegal or harmful activity

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App—except user-generated content—is owned by Quti Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit any part of the app without our written consent.

9. Location Sharing & Event Visibility

By RSVPing to events or creating public events within Quti, you acknowledge that:

  • Your attendance status, name, and profile details may be visible to other users invited to the event or, if the event is public, to the wider Quti community.
     

  • If you add a location (e.g., a venue or address) to an event or RSVP to one with a shared location, this may reveal your planned whereabouts to others.
     

  • You are solely responsible for managing your privacy settings and who you share plans with. Quti provides visibility controls, but cannot prevent others from resharing or screenshotting information.
     

Location-based visibility is opt-in and user-controlled. You can limit who sees your events and RSVPs by adjusting your event sharing settings within the app.

We encourage users to be mindful when sharing sensitive details such as:

  • Home addresses

  • Frequent locations

  • Plans involving minors
     

Quti is not liable for any consequences arising from voluntary sharing of your location or schedule within the app.

10. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quti Ltd will not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the app

  • Personal injury or harm occurring at user-organised events

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be published in-app and effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country or region of residence, as follows:

  • If you reside in England or Wales: the laws of England and Wales apply, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
     

  • If you reside in Scotland: the laws of Scotland apply, and the Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
     

  • If you reside in Northern Ireland: the laws of Northern Ireland apply, and the Northern Irish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
     

  • If you reside in the Republic of Ireland: the laws of Ireland apply, and the Irish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. User Safety, Reporting & Moderation

Quti allows users to create profiles, organise events, and interact with others. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment.

Quti does not conduct background checks on users.

We have a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive users.

Prohibited Behaviour

Users must not:

  • Harass, bully, or intimidate others

  • Send spam or repeated unwanted invitations

  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content

  • Misuse the app in a way that negatively impacts other users

Reporting Users

Quti provides an in-app reporting feature that allows users to report other users who share content or engage in behaviour that is abusive, inappropriate, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

Users can report another user for:

  • Harassment.

  • Spam.

  • Inappropriate behaviour.

  • Other concerns (with additional details)

Reports are reviewed confidentially and assessed in good faith. Where content or behaviour violates these Terms, we will take appropriate action.

Blocking Users

Users can block other users within the app.

When a user is blocked:

  • The blocked user can no longer view or interact with the blocking user.

  • The blocked user’s content and profile will no longer be visible.

  • The block may trigger internal review for safety purposes.

  • If a blocked user RSVPs to an event that you are attending, you will be notified to help you make informed decisions about your participation.

Moderation & Enforcement

We have a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.

 

We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behaviour and aim to take appropriate action, including removing content or suspending users, within 24 hours.​

This may include removing content that violates these Terms.

Enforcement Actions

If a user breaches these Terms, Quti may:

  • Issue warnings.

  • Restrict account functionality

  • Suspend or permanently remove accounts.

  • Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities where required.

14. App Store Terms Apply

Quti is available through the Apple App Store. Use of the app is also governed by Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.

Please note:

  • Apple is not responsible for providing support for Quti.
     

  • Any claims related to the use of the app (including liability, legal compliance, or content) are the responsibility of Quti Ltd, not Apple.

15. Updates & Availability

We may make updates, changes, or improvements to Quti at any time. This could include:

  • Adding or removing features

  • Releasing bug fixes

  • Changing how certain tools work (e.g. RSVPs, calendar views)
     

We do not guarantee that the app or any part of it will always be available, error-free, or supported on all devices and operating systems.
